Aesthetic Engines is a creative 3D workshop designed for artists, designers, and digital makers who want to expand their conceptual workflow in Blender. Instead of focusing on technical modelling, this session explores idea generation through play — using 3D as a sketchbook for experimentation, abstract form-finding, and discovering unexpected shapes through procedural techniques.
Participants will explore Blender’s modifiers, generative patterns, Geometry Nodes, and loose sculpting workflows to experiment with form, test compositions, explore silhouettes, and develop concepts that can evolve into installations, sculptures, VR environments, or digital artworks. The emphasis is on creative exploration, curiosity, and embracing emergent complexity, rather than perfection or polish.
Everyone will leave with a collection of experimental 3D sketches, a deeper understanding of procedural approaches, and a flexible process they can use to ideate more intuitively within their practice.
